Organic Photovoltaics (OPV) have developed into a vast research area. Progress in various directions has made it difficult to monitor the technology's precise development state.
As a result of this, Organext offers a patent landscape analysis on all OPV devices, their substrates and encapsulation materials to provide an overview of patenting activity from a historical, organizational, geographical and technological point of view.

Under the Organext project, the TWEED team is pleased to invite you to a seminar on the topic of new photovoltaic technologies and their prospects for economic recovery. This will also be the opportunity to participate in the inauguration of Eliosys laboratories and visit them.

"Nanotechnology for a sustainable future"

The overall objective of the Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhine project "ORGANEXT" is the creation of a customized knowledge and coordinated, interdisciplinary cluster consisting of industrial partners (SMEs and large companies), policy makers and research institutions, to encourage the further development of the Meuse-Rhine Euregio towards a top technological region in the field of organic opto-electronics and solar cells.
This platform is powered by a core of top-level research centers in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, Eindhoven and Leuven with renowned expertise in the field of nanotechnology, new materials, solar cells and economic analysis / enhancement.
The project aims for exchange of information and close collaboration in different technological and economical related aspects of the value chain of organic opto-electronics and solar cells: nanomaterials, deposition techniques, an Euregional nanomaterials superlab and the production and implementation of demonstrators. Part of the project is focused on education and training to gain high-skilled personnel.

Eliosys is the only Belgian accredited laboratory for testing, characterization and certification of photovoltaic modules (Ministry of Economy, BELAC.432-test). With its unique technologies in the world, Eliosys is capable of delivering tests for the different generations of photovoltaic products from the crystalline silicon through the thin film until the organic.
Eliosys is pleased to host the next event and ORGANEXT, and during the visit of the laboratory, you will be introduced to its technologies including its famous continuous solar simulators which was developed by its engineers.
